Kan Channel: Israel agreed to withdraw from the Netzarim axis and will send a delegation to Cairo

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority, Kan, said on Monday evening that an Israeli delegation of a “professional level” that does not include Shin Bet and Mossad leaders will head to Cairo on Tuesday or Wednesday, as part of negotiations for the exchange deal following the Egyptian proposal.

Kan Channel explained that the Egyptian proposal stipulates that the Israeli army will not be present in the “Netzarim Axis” area, which separates the northern Gaza Strip from its south, and Israel has already agreed to this proposal.

It reported that, according to the proposal, Egyptian forces would supervise the inspection of displaced persons returning from the southern Gaza Strip to their homes in the northern Gaza Strip, with Israel monitoring the inspection process through surveillance devices.

Kan added that the call that took place on Sunday between Benjamin Netanyahu and Joe Biden showed that the Biden administration still rejects the Israeli invasion of Rafah.
