Two prisoners from Gaza died in Israeli prisons
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation said, Thursday evening, that two detainees from the Gaza Strip died while being brought for investigation inside Israel.
The Broadcasting Authority did not mention other details about the circumstances of the Palestinians’ death, but almost endless evidence and testimonies from editors who were arrested over the past months confirm that they were subjected to various types of torture and humiliation at the hands of the occupation forces.
On March 27, an investigation by the Hebrew newspaper “Haaretz” revealed the martyrdom of 27 detainees from the Gaza Strip, in the “Israeli” military facilities of the Israeli forces, in which they had been detained since the beginning of the genocidal war on the Strip.
The Hebrew newspaper said, in its investigation, that it obtained data indicating that 27 detainees died while being held at the “Zdeya Yemen” base near Beersheba and the “Anatot” camp near Jerusalem.
It indicated that the Israeli army refused to provide any data on the circumstances of the death of the detainees, but indicated that some of them had been injured during the fighting, while others were suffering from complex medical conditions before their arrest.
According to the testimonies of released prisoners, 95% of them do not know the places where they were during the period of their detention. They are shackled and blindfolded all the time, and none of the human rights institutions or the International Committee of the Red Cross are allowed to obtain any information about them.
