Biden and Blinken confirm their support for Israel against Iranian threats
US President, Joe Biden, and his Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, reaffirmed that Washington will continue to provide “absolute” support to Israel in confronting Iran’s threats.
Biden's confirmation came during a press conference held on Wednesday evening with Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio at the White House in Washington.
The US President stated that he discussed with Kishida the developments in the Middle East, and that they evaluated the crisis in the Gaza Strip and the files related to Iran.
He added: "We also discussed the dangerous Iranian threat to launch an attack on Israel during our meeting. As I told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, our security commitment to Israel against Iranian threats and its proxies in the region is unwavering."
Biden stressed that his country will do its utmost to ensure Israel's security.
As for Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, he confirmed during a phone call with Israeli Security Minister, Yoav Galant, that the United States will stand by Tel Aviv against Iranian threats.
In addition, the Commander of the US Central Command in the Middle East (Centcom), General Eric Kurella, arrives today, Thursday, in Tel Aviv, to hold a series of meetings with the aim of coordinating “the joint American-Israeli preparation for a possible attack by Iran.”
