Sources revealed details of a new proposal in the current round of negotiations in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, regarding the Gaza Strip.

Al Jazeera quoted sources as saying that the mediators presented a new proposal in the last round of negotiations in Cairo for a ceasefire in 3 stages.

According to Al Jazeera, the proposal included the return of unarmed displaced civilians to the northern Gaza Strip, without specifying their numbers.

The proposal included Israel accepting the opening of Al-Rashid and Salah Al-Din Streets and stationing its forces 500 meters away from them.

The proposal includes bringing 500 aid trucks daily into the Gaza Strip, including the north.

Sources added to Al Jazeera that the proposal included Israel releasing 900 Palestinian prisoners, including 100 with life sentences, in the first stage.

The source stated that the proposal did not include the number of Palestinian prisoners released in the second phase or Israel’s withdrawal.
