The Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth said on Sunday that after 5 months of war in the Gaza Strip, Israel has begun to lose global support for it, and is currently facing a real political tsunami.

The newspaper pointed out in its report that the patience of America and Britain was also beginning to wear out with regard to Israel’s actions.

The newspaper said that Israel is losing the world's support for it, because the war is going slower and longer than it promised its friends, noting that the management of the war is producing achievements, but it has not yet reached a decisive point, and Hamas leaders have not yet been liquidated and Israeli prisoners have been released.

It explained that as the war continued, the world’s interest began to shift to the human suffering in Gaza, in light of hunger, living in tents, and the difficulty of obtaining medical services, all of which occupy the media’s bulletins.

It pointed out that among the reasons for this are the lack of Israeli readiness on the horizon to enter a political path, the lack of a clear vision for the day after the war, in addition to the extremist Israeli government’s refusal to commit to a political process that will ultimately lead to the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Among the reasons mentioned by the newspaper are the increasing pressure of public opinion in the world against Israel’s actions, in addition to the possibility of Biden losing the elections to Donald Trump, especially as there are always doubts that Netanyahu prefers the latter over the current US president, which may lead to a loss of support for Biden, who is considered the friendliest president in Israel, along with Netanyahu's continued support for the extreme right in his government, indicates his intention to continue this war.
