Hebrew investigation: Israel is the one that killed detainees in settlement on October 7 attack
An investigation by the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation revealed that the army was aware of the presence of detainees in the house that it targeted with two tank shells in the Be’eri settlement on the day of the Al-Aqsa flood, on the seventh of last October.
The authority added that army and police forces exchanged heavy fire with fighters of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the "Be'eri" settlement, despite their knowledge that there were Israelis detained alive inside it.
An Israeli detainee stated that she informed the Israeli forces that there were 12 detainees inside the house, but they did not believe her, she said.
The Broadcasting Authority confirmed in its investigation that Hamas fighters did not fire on the hostages, but rather it was Israeli forces’ fire that killed the hostages along with 40 Hamas gunmen.
The families of Israeli settlers who were killed by an Israeli tank shelling in the Ba'eri settlement had previously called on the army to conduct a comprehensive and transparent investigation into the decisions "that led to this tragic outcome" and to publish the results publicly.
The families of the settlers who were killed in the Be'eri settlement while being held hostage in the Pasi Cohen house called on the Israeli army to investigate the actions of its soldiers there.
It republished the scenario of the events that took place that day, and quoted Brigadier General Barak Hiram’s statements to the New York Times, in which he said that he ordered the tank to bomb even if “Israeli civilians” were injured.
Israeli Army Radio also previously revealed that Chief of Staff Herzi Halevy decided to launch internal investigations into all units into the events of last October 7.
