Updated| Israel launches an arrest campaign in the West Bank

The Israeli forces continue their campaign of daily raids into cities, villages and camps in the occupied West Bank, and carry out arrest campaigns and destruction of infrastructure as part of the collective punishment policy pursued by Israel in recent years.


Ramallah

At dawn today, Israeli occupation forces stormed several areas in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate. Local sources reported that a large force of the occupation army stormed several neighborhoods in the towns of Al-Mazraa Al-Sharqiya, Silwad, Deir Jarir and Al-Taybeh, east of Ramallah, and military vehicles drove through their streets.

The sources added that a foot force from the occupation army stormed the Satah Marhaba neighborhood and the Jabal Al-Tawil area in the city of Al-Bireh.

Eyewitnesses reported that several vehicles belonging to the occupation forces stormed the towns of Beit Rima, Deir Ghassana, Kafr Ain, Al-Nabi Saleh, and Qarawat Bani Zeid, northwest of Ramallah.


Jenin

Today, Monday, the Israeli forces arrested five citizens from the town of Maithalun, south of Jenin.

Security sources said that the occupation forces arrested the brothers Muhammad, Nour, Ahmed, and Iyad Rabaya, and the two brothers, Nadim and Amir Numan Nairat, after raiding their homes, tampering with their contents, and shooting bullets inside the homes.


Qalqilya

At dawn on Monday, the Israeli occupation forces attacked an elderly man and arrested two young men from the city of Qalqilya.


Local sources reported that the occupation forces beat the elderly Ghaleb Houtri after raiding and searching his home in the city of Qalqilya. They also arrested the two young men, Sharif Farraj and Moaz Zaid, after they raided and searched their homes.


Bethlehem

Today, Monday, Israeli occupation forces stormed the village of Al-Minya, southeast of Bethlehem, and seized a vehicle and a sum of money.

Security sources reported that the occupation forces stormed Al-Minya, raided the home of Yasser Khalil Abu Dayyeh, vandalized its contents, and seized his legal vehicle and a sum of money.


Hebron

Today, Monday, the Israeli occupation forces arrested six citizens in the Hebron Governorate, in the southern West Bank.


Local sources reported that the occupation forces raided the village of Al-Dawwara in the town of Sa'ir, northeast of Hebron, and arrested: Adam Abdel Qader Jabareen, and the two brothers Adham and Ayoub Issa Jabareen. They also raided Al-Fawwar camp south of Hebron and arrested Hassan Akram Zaghmot, Ismail Fayek Nassar, and Jihad Mahmoud Al-Khatib, after... Searching their homes and tampering with their contents.


The Prisoners' Club said that the Israeli occupation forces arrested at least 25 citizens from the West Bank from yesterday evening until Monday morning, including a child and former prisoners.


The arrests were concentrated in the governorates of Hebron and Jenin, while the rest of the arrests were distributed in the governorates of Tulkarm, Qalqilya, Ramallah, Jericho, Nablus, and Jerusalem.


The occupation forces continue to carry out widespread incursions during arrest campaigns, accompanied by widespread abuse, severe beatings, and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to widespread sabotage and destruction of citizens’ homes, premeditated killings, and confiscation of vehicles and funds, in addition to widespread sabotage operations targeting infrastructure. .


Thus, the total number of arrests after October 7 rose to about (6,195), and this total includes those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.


Note that the ongoing and escalating arrest campaigns in an unprecedented manner come within the framework of the comprehensive aggression against our people and the ongoing genocide in Gaza, after October 7, which targeted all groups in an unprecedented manner.
