Israelis demand investigation into killing of their sons by army fire on October 7
The families of Israelis killed inside a house by occupation tank fire on October 7th called on Chief of Staff Herzi Halevy to conduct a “comprehensive and transparent investigation” into the case.
Haaretz newspaper said: The families of Israelis who were killed in a house inside the “Be’eri” kibbutz near Gaza during the Al-Aqsa flood battle, after they were captured by Al-Qassam gunmen, sent a letter to the chief of staff of the occupation army, demanding that he conduct a “comprehensive and transparent investigation” into the decision to fire on the house, while it was Israeli civilians are detained inside.
The Hebrew Channel 12 published footage showing an army tank firing towards the house, where Al-Qassam gunmen were present, accompanied by Israeli detainees.
Last November, Haaretz newspaper published a report, quoting the police, that an Israeli helicopter opened fire on Palestinians and Israelis in the town of Ra'im, on the border of the Gaza Strip.
Hamas killed about 1,200 Israelis, wounded about 5,431, and captured at least 239, following its attack on settlements surrounding the Gaza Strip on October 7.
Later, a prisoner exchange deal took place that lasted 7 days and ended in early December, resulting in the release of 105 civilians detained by Hamas, including 81 Israelis, 23 Thai citizens, and one Filipino.
Palestinian prisoners' institutions stated that, under the temporary truce, the occupying state released 240 Palestinian prisoners from its prisons, including 71 female prisoners and 169 children.
Israel estimates that there are about “137 people still detained in the Gaza Strip,” according to identical media reports and statements by Israeli officials.
For three months, the occupation army has been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, which, as of Friday, left 22,600 killed and 57,910 injured, most of them children and women, massive destruction of infrastructure and an “unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe,” according to official Palestinian and UN sources.
