Extremist Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said in a post on his page on the “X” platform on Tuesday that Israel is not a star on the American flag.

Itamar Ben Gvir added: “I respect the United States, as it is our best ally, but Israel is not a star on the American flag.”

The extremist Israeli Minister of National Security continued, saying, "We must do what is in Israel's interest."

Ben Gvir pointed out in his blog post that the migration of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip will allow the residents of the Gaza Strip to return to their homes and live in security, explaining that this will preserve the lives of the Israeli army forces.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time that Ben Gvir has made such a statement, as he had previously said in March 2023 in response to US President Joe Biden’s criticism of the Israeli government’s handling of the crisis of protests against the so-called “judicial reform” law, that Israel is independent from The United States is not just another star on the American flag.

Ben Gvir's post came after an American statement condemning statements made by Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben Gvir regarding the return of Jewish settlers to the Gaza Strip after the current war while encouraging the Palestinian population to emigrate from the Strip.

US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller described Smotrich and Ben Gvir's statements as "irresponsible."

Moreover, clashes continue in the Gaza Strip for the 89th day in light of the continued intense Israeli bombing of various cities in the Strip, amid a worsening humanitarian catastrophe, and increasing escalation in the region.
