On Monday evening, the Israeli occupation army announced that one of its soldiers was killed, and 4 others, including an officer, were seriously injured in battles in the Gaza Strip, bringing the death toll to 507 since the start of the war on the Gaza Strip.

The army said in a statement, “Corporal (Reserve) Amichai Yisrael Yehoshua Oster (24 years old), from the Karnei Shomron settlement (north of the occupied West Bank), a fighter in the 7020th Battalion, Hasharon Formation (5), was killed in a battle in the northern Gaza Strip.”

The soldier's death brings the Israeli army's announced death toll to 171 since the start of the ground operation in the Gaza Strip on October 27, and to 507 since the beginning of the war on October 7.

The army added that "two other soldiers were seriously injured during the same battle, and a third soldier was seriously injured in a battle in the southern Gaza Strip."

The army continued: "An officer at the College of Military Engineering was also seriously injured during clashes in the northern Gaza Strip. The fighters were evacuated to receive medical treatment in the hospital, and their families were informed."
