"Israel" urges the Biden administration not to speak publicly about the two-state solution
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli War Council Minister Benny Gantz, and even opposition leader Yair Lapid urged the US administration not to speak publicly about the two-state solution.
This came according to what Israeli and American officials reported to the Times of Israel newspaper, on Saturday.
The newspaper quoted an American official (which it did not name), saying that the message did not come only from Netanyahu, as the resonance of his messages has become limited because Washington is convinced that he is engaged in a “politically motivated campaign” in this regard.
Israeli officials said other members of the war cabinet, including Gantz and opposition leader Lapid, "expressed their discomfort with the Biden administration's renewed rhetoric regarding the need for a two-state solution since the outbreak of the war."
