The Hezbollah official stresses that Hezbollah will adhere to the truce as long as Israel adheres to it

After “Nidaa Al-Watan” newspaper reported earlier today, according to “official information” it received, that the truce in Gaza will include southern Lebanon, and Hezbollah will adhere to it as long as Israel adheres to it, a Hezbollah official told Al-Jazeera that: “We were not part of Negotiations related to the ceasefire and prisoner exchange between Israel and Hamas."

However, the Hezbollah official stated, “South Lebanon is a front that supports Gaza, and the ceasefire there also includes Lebanon. Hezbollah will adhere to the ceasefire if Israel adheres to it. Any Israeli escalation in southern Lebanon or Gaza will be responded to by Hezbollah” .

In a related development, Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah recently received in Lebanon the leader of the Hamas movement, the deputy leader of Hamas in Gaza, Khalil al-Hayya, and Osama Hamdan, the Hamas representative in Lebanon. 

This comes in light of the kidnapping deal between Israel and Hamas, which was approved tonight by the government. He stated that the three "discussed the recent developments, positions and developments on all fronts, especially in the Gaza Strip, and talked about the importance of coordination and insistence on achieving victory."
