Israel's political clock is ticking faster than the military clock!

The world became horrified by Israel's brutal response. The longer time passes, the pressure on Israel will increase and the bloodshed will continue without a clear plan, according to Max Boot in the Washington Post.

Although Israel was able to control northern Gaza, with the loss of 50 soldiers, during its seizure of Al-Shifa Hospital, it did not eliminate Hamas fighters. It also did not face serious resistance from Hamas, whose fighters are located in the sprawling tunnel network.

Israel does not have a solution to deal with the tunnel network, which some experts described as similar to the subway. When Israel moves from attacking to controlling territory, it may lose a large number of soldiers.

Israel suspects the presence of Yahya Sinwar, the leader of Hamas in Gaza, in one of the tunnels under his city of Khan Yunis. The serious process will be when the Israeli forces move to the south, where there are 2 million people who moved from the north. There is a high possibility of large numbers of civilian casualties.

Biden estimated that the process of dismantling Hamas could take 6 months, while Zohar Balti, a former Israeli Defense Ministry official, said: We are only at the beginning. The difficult problem facing Israel is that the political clock is ticking faster than the military clock. Pressure on Israel due to civilian losses may force it to stop offensive operations.

Reuters conducted an opinion poll showing that 68% of participants called for a ceasefire and negotiation. But Netanyahu, who has lost his moral compass and legitimacy, insists on dismantling Hamas, whatever the cost.

Netanyahu refuses, as does his far-right government, to curb settler violence in the West Bank. This means that the war may continue with no end in sight and more bloodshed.
