Israeli armed forces arrested 70 Palestinians in West Bank
From yesterday evening until Sunday morning, the Israeli occupation forces arrested at least (70) citizens from the West Bank, including three women and two journalists. The arrest operations were concentrated in the Balata/Nablus camp, and in the Jenin camp, while the rest of the arrests were distributed among the governorates of: Tubas, Ramallah, Hebron, Tulkarm, Jerusalem, and Qalqilya.
The arrest campaign was accompanied by widespread torture, severe beatings, field investigations, and threats against the detainees and their families, which amounted to threats of shooting, in addition to widespread sabotage and destruction of citizens’ homes, in addition to arresting citizens as hostages to pressure family members to hand over the property. themselves.
Thus, the total number of arrests after the seventh of last October rises to about (2,920), and this total includes those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, those who were held hostage, those who were summoned and arrested later, and those who were arrested for the purpose of field investigation and they were later released.
The continuing arrest campaigns come within the framework of the comprehensive aggression against our people and the ongoing genocide in Gaza, after the seventh of last October, and have included all groups, including children, the elderly, women, and hundreds of former prisoners who spent years in Israeli occupation prisons.
