The director-general of the municipality of the city of Tira in Israel was shot dead on Monday night, in the latest in a wave of bloody killings in the Palestinian community.
The victim was identified as Abed al-Rahman Kashu, while two others were wounded in the shooting.
According to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, 153 Palestinian citizens of Israel have been killed in crime-related homicides so far this year.
